More attention on the conversation, less on the notes

What you get

After setup, each online interview that is recorded produces a structured record set against the questions your panel planned to ask. Panel members write less during the conversation and have something reliable to return to afterward, instead of relying on memory or scattered notes.

Why it is needed

Taking detailed notes during an interview asks a panel member to do two things at once: listen closely and write enough to remember it accurately later. Something usually gives, and it tends to be the notes.

When several interviews take place in the same week, telling one candidate's answers from another's afterward becomes a small task of its own.

How it works

We set up a recording and summarising step for online interviews. It produces a draft record of what was discussed, organised against the questions your panel prepared. A panel member reads the draft and corrects it before it is filed, because an AI summary can miss or misstate something that was said.

The record is shared only with the panel involved. It is a note of the conversation, not an evaluation: the tool gives no mark or recommendation about the candidate.

Telling the candidate

A recording or transcript contains the candidate's voice and words, which is personal information. Your company tells the candidate beforehand that a record will be made, for what purpose, and how long it will be kept, and agrees this with them. We provide wording for this in the written procedure. If a candidate would rather not be recorded, the interview goes ahead without a record and the panel takes ordinary notes.

What happens over the three weeks

Setup begins with your existing evaluation form, which we use as the template for how each record is structured. A trial across five interviews follows, so your panel can see the records in practice and ask for changes before the format is settled. We also agree a storage arrangement with you and write down the retention period that your company has chosen.

Limits

Speech recognition and summaries can be wrong, particularly with names, technical terms, and overlapping speech. We do not state an accuracy figure. Whether a record is good enough is judged by your panel during the trial; changes within the agreed scope are made as part of the service, and anything beyond it is agreed in writing.
