Manual work and assisted work, set side by side
Neither approach is presented here as the only correct one. This page lays out what changes, and what does not, when a step is set up with assistance.
Back to homeWhy this comparison is worth making
Many HR teams already have a process that works, built up over years of handling applications and interviews by hand. The question is rarely whether that process is wrong, because it usually is not. The question is whether some of the time it takes could go toward the parts of hiring that benefit most from a person's judgement. This page sets the two approaches beside each other so the comparison can be made plainly.
Traditional approach
- Applications arrive in varied formats across email, forms, and job boards, and are reconciled by hand.
- Interview notes are taken during the conversation itself, competing with attention to the candidate.
- Bottlenecks are usually noticed only once they have already slowed an opening down.
Assisted approach
- Applications are copied into one layout by a configured step, and missing details are marked for follow-up. A person checks the result against the originals.
- Online interviews can be turned into a draft record after the fact, which a panel member reads and corrects, with the candidate told beforehand.
- A written review can show where a process slows down, using dates and counts from your own records.
What stays the same
Decisions stay with people
Every service here organises or summarises material. None of them makes a judgement about a candidate's suitability on anyone's behalf.
Checking stays with people
AI output can be wrong or one-sided. A consistent layout makes comparison easier, but it does not make a process fair by itself.
Responsibility stays with you
Your company remains the one that decides how applicant data is used and informs the people concerned.
On effectiveness
Any gain is most likely to show in the time spent on formatting and on reconstructing what was said, not in the decisions themselves. Those remain a matter for the panel, as they should.
We do not publish figures for time saved or accuracy. Every team's documents, channels, and interview style are different, and a figure from someone else's process would say little about yours.
On cost
Each service has its own starting price and a fixed length in weeks, so the cost is known before work begins. The amount that applies to you is set out in a written quotation. There is no subscription built into these prices; work beyond the stated scope is agreed separately.
Compared with adopting a large HR platform
A narrow setup is aimed at one stage of your process, tried on records you choose, and handed over with documentation, rather than left as a black box that your team has to work out later. A large platform can cover more ground; this is a smaller, more specific option for teams that want to change one step at a time.
After the engagement ends
Because the deliverable includes a written operating procedure, the arrangement keeps working without us. If your own process changes, the procedure will need updating, and that is something your team can do or ask us to quote for.
A few common misconceptions
"This replaces the hiring panel."
It does not. Every service here organises, records, or reviews. The decision remains with the people reading the material.
"Candidates will not know a record is being made."
Candidates are told beforehand, and an interview can go ahead without a record if the candidate prefers.
